Overview

[11C]rolipram is a radiotracer used for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) in the brain and other tissues. It is the carbon-11 radiolabeled version of rolipram, a selective PDE4 inhibitor. This radiotracer enables visualization and quantification of PDE4 distribution in vivo, providing an indirect measure of cAMP signaling pathways. It shows high retention in gray matter regions consistent with PDE4 distribution and has been used in research studies of neuropsychiatric disorders and cardiac function.
